Terms of Service

Friction Labs designs websites and builds AI systems — chat, booking, CRM, and SMS/follow-up agents — for local businesses, and operates them on your behalf.

We provide the service on a setup-fee plus monthly-retainer basis. Specifics for your engagement are in your order.

You're responsible for the accuracy of the information you give us and for complying with the laws that apply to your business — including consent and opt-out rules for calling and texting your customers.

Our agents include opt-out handling by default, but you must honor opt-outs and not use the service to send unlawful or unsolicited messages.

Setup fees are billed upfront. Monthly retainers are billed in advance and cover the operation of your agents plus usage up to the limits of your plan. Usage beyond plan limits — such as high SMS volume — may be billed at cost.

You can cancel your monthly service at any time; it ends at the close of the current billing period.

You own your data and the content of your website. We retain ownership of our underlying tooling, agent designs, and infrastructure.

We work hard to keep the service running, but it's provided 'as is' without warranty. To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the fees you paid us in the prior three months.
